I’m Olena, an artist and illustrator whose work is rooted in a lifelong connection to nature and a curiosity for the world. I grew up in Kyiv, spending much of my time outdoors - an experience that shaped my sensitivity to natural beauty from an early age. Growing up in a family of artists, returning to my own art practice later in life felt like a return to something deeply familiar, a reconnection with roots that had never truly left me.

Living in different locations (from Kyiv to Milan, then London and now in the southern Italian countryside) deepened my fascination with places, cultures, and the unique details that give each destination its character. Even travelling became not just a vacation, but a way of observing how nature and culture coexist and shape our emotional connection to a place.

Today, I unite my love for nature and my curiosity for the world through illustration. My work explores how destinations are infused with the magic of their local landscapes, botanicals, and atmospheres. Through these illustrations, my aim is to evoke memory and longing, allowing viewers to feel transported back to places they love, or inspired to experience them for the first time.
